Is a new LEGO Creator Fairground Carousel on the way in June?

The fairground subtheme of Creator Expert took a break last year, following 2014’s 10244 Fairground Mixer and 2015’s 10247 Ferris Wheel. But it sounds like it might be back with a vengeance this summer, as rumours of a new fairground carousel, supposedly set number 10256, is due to be released on June 1.

The release date news comes courtesy of reliable source Tragic Banjo at Eurobricks, as Allen over at thebrickfan.com first reported. There’s no other word yet on what the set might look like, or its price or piece count. 2009’s 10196 Grand Carousel, pictured above, is highly sought after on the secondary market, so a new version would undoubtedly prove popular – particularly if it aligns nicely with the previous two fairground sets.

If the June release date is true, expect a full reveal some time in the next month.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
