New UK Vice President and General Manager for the LEGO Group

Marina Edwards has been named as the LEGO Group’s new Vice President and General Manager for the UK and Ireland.

Industry magazine Toy World report that Edwards has taken over from Fiona Wright, who had been in place since 2016 on an interim basis. Edwards has worked for Procter & Gamble and Pepsico before joining the LEGO Group.

Marina commented: ‘I feel extremely privileged to be joining the Lego team. The Lego Group is an incredible company which appeals to people of all ages around the globe. I admire the values the company has been true to since 1932 – to develop and inspire children through creative play and learning. My team and I will work with our partners to continue the momentum the company has seen over the past years. Our ambition is to drive the growth in the toy market and remain the industry leader while consistently practising the ethos that “Only the best is good enough”.

Marina’s solid commercial and leadership experience, combined with her affinity with the Lego values and culture, makes her a strong addition to the UK/Ireland business and the EMEA leadership team. She was born in Russia and has been living in the UK for 13 years with her husband and two sons.
