Production about to begin on The LEGO Movie Sequel

Production begins on The LEGO Movie Sequel in October, ready for the film’s 2019 release.

Screen Rant reports that the fourth film in the LEGO movie franchise, The LEGO Movie Sequel, will begin production in Canada this October. The new film is the sequel to first animated big-screen feature, The LEGO Movie, released in 2014.

Mike Mitchell is directing The LEGO Movie Sequel, produced by Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The animation will be completed by Animal Logic in Australia, suggesting that the Canadian production will focus on recording the dialogue, or filming the live action sequences. The film is set to be a space-musical, with Batman taking on the role of damsel in distress and his friends out to rescue him.

The next cinematic release will be The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, with sets available to buy now. The LEGO NINJAGO Movie is due for release on September 22 in the USA and October 13 in the UK.
