Bright Bricks present a life-size LEGO McLaren 720S
The team of LEGO builders at Bright Bricks recently teamed up with McLaren to present a life-size LEGO McLaren 720S at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
From June 29 to July 2, visitors to the event could help add the final layer of orange bricks that would complete the brick based replica of the supercar.
Real wheels and a steel base support the build, which is then entirely built from LEGO elements, with even details such as the windscreen wipers being built from bricks. Getting the car ready for the event took 280,000 bricks and 2000 hours. The LEGO McLaren 720S ended up weighing more than the real thing, coming in at 1.6 tonnes.
The build will now travel to further locations, giving more fans a chance to see it up close. LEGO Speed Champions 75880 McLaren 720S is available now.
